Why am I different?

If you have a close look at my background you will see a very diverse background - I am not a cookie cutter which means you can expect innovative solutions that are not straight out of the box. Firstly I have degrees - lots of them; Honours in Engineering and Law, worked as a solicitor, worked in Information Technology and am a qualified naturopath (and no I don't do massage in house!). More importantly for you I am an excellent communicator. In fact regardless of the other job titles, my main role is and continues to be communications - articles, press releases, White Papers, media briefings or even media training not to mention internal corporate communications, obtaining buy in for projects, explaining the virtues of new products and services or developing the "next big thing" (TM) in advertising and product promotion - think iPad and ways to reach that audience - but you will have to follow my Blog to find out more.   Being able to use both left and right brain (simultaneously) I am both creative and grounded - able to crunch figures and work with budgets but also let creativity run wild (on a leash).  By now you should have an idea that I am worth at least having a coffee with.

Why should you engage me?

When we meet, I could spin you the graduate stuff about how I have always wanted to work for your company but both of us know that this is nonsense.  The reality is I am looking forinteresting clients where I can draw together my skills and experience and to help you to communicate more effectively whether through traditional media channels or "the next big thing" (TM) (think video!). I have years of experience pitching stories to magazine editors and fellow journalists so I have the expertise and contacts to get your message across. I can help you develop all types of communications - internal communications (newsletters, Intranet content, policy documents), client communications (newsletters, social media, web content, video, podcasts), press releases and product information materials. I can help you look good in front of the media through media training and messaging workshops and if things go wrong I can help you manage a crisis and more importantly develop strategies before a crisis hits.

Why should you want to work with me?

I could give you many reasons starting with you don't want me to work for your competitors, but seriously you will see that I can bring a considerable depth of experience to anyone who I work for. I am extremely flexible and adaptable and work very well in new situations.  As I mentioned previously, one of my strengths is helping clients develop messages and enabling them to communicate them to their audience across a variety of media. I am creative yet sensible and basically am one great person to work with.

How will you help us? And will you help our business grow?

I won't bother you with the details again but I have considerable experience working at all levels of associations, enterprises and government. I am comfortable presenting to boards or to small business. I am enthusiastic and love helping people - help you to grow and we both grow.  I feel it is about understanding your needs (or helping you to discover them for yourself) and providing a solution which exceeds your expectations so that you tell (or Tweet) your colleagues to let them know how fantastic the services I provide are.

When you engage me you get me with all my experience. I write your material, I arrange and deliver workshops and I personally help you get your message out there. If you are happy you can ring me directly and if there are things I need to improve, again you will contact me directly. I might work with other people who are specialists in their field or bring additional expertise but ultimately, I manage your account and take ownership of our relationship. It is in my interest to help you grow your business and I take this role very seriously
